This new bike has a little sentimental history behind it. In November of 2002 on my birthday my wife surprised me with a new 2003 Aniversary model VROD. I had put nearly 30,000 miles on the bike when in November of 2004 after two years, I was involved in a terrible accident in Mexico (the bike in front of me rear ended a leading bike) and in avoiding the debris of the crash site accidently ended up in the sand bar pit. To make a long story short, the bike ended up being totaled due to a twisted frame. So, this beauty, one of only 200 in this color scheme, is my replacement birthday bike from my wife.
I would much rather have to replace a bike compared to the alternative.
