Sturgis, The Great Ride
If you ride a bike, any bike, and you have not made the annual pilgrimage in August to the Mecca of Rally's, then you have not experienced the Great Ride!  There is an old biker adage, "If I have to explain it, you wouldn't understand it."  Let's just say that when you ride the Black Hills of SD, experience the week long rally with over 500,000 other bike enthusiasts, you just cannot explain it to another, let alone a non-biker.  You gotta be there to believe it.  The following are some photos of my 2000 Sturgis Ride. Went back in 2005, photos to come.
From Denver, Sturgis is a 460 mile ride.  This photo is somewhere in between in the middle of Wyoming. Downtown Sturgis during the Rally.  No cars permitted, only bikes, and more bikes.
Camping out at Sturgis.  There are vitually no hotels/motels, and the campground is where the real party is at.
No trip to Sturgis would be complete without some bar stops.  This is at the Full Throttle Saloon which covers about a 20 acre site, complete with bars, bikes, babes, shops and show arena.
