In his off time, Brandon Johnson can be found playing with his 2 bands
ILL ROCKET and THE PROGRESS. Brandon’s the drummer and founding member of ILL ROCKET.

ILL ROCKET is:

Nick Brigden - Vox/Guitars, Chunka Whyel - Bass, Brandon Johnson - Drums, Gabe Whyel - Lead Guitar.

Originally created by Nick Brigden and Brandon Johnson in early 2003, ILL ROCKET has now blasted on to the NYC music scene in full force. Chunka and Gabriel Whyel complete the package as the foursome fuses together intense/aggressive rock with melodic hooks that stick in the brain and assimilate listeners. ILL ROCKET consistently pushes the envelope toward evolving the effect that music can have on one’s soul. The experiment never ends and all are welcome.

Listen to a couple of tunes here.

THE PROGRESS is:

Brett - Vox, Gabe - Guitars, Brandon - Drums, Dan - Bass.

THE PROGRESS was started in the summer of 2003 in Manhattan, New York to create rock music driven by powerful grooves and soaring melodies. Boasting 2 members from the red hot Acquiesce and 2 members from the hard rockin' ILL Rocket, THE PROGRESS stacks exciting tunes on a dynamic, high energy live show that is not to be missed! THE PROGRESS' debut CD, "one", was released on March 26, 2004 at Arlene's Grocery.

You can Buy the CD on the CD Baby website and listen to clips from all of the songs.

You can also listen to some Full-Length MP3s from the album and see the New Promo Video for their first single, "Sanity Check" by visiting the audio section of THE PROGRESS' website.
