Hokage
Hokage in
Japanese means fire-shadow (got this off of another site). The
Hokage in Flame of Recca is the good guys. They include Recca,
Yanagi, Fuuko, Domon, Tokiya, and Kaoru ( in order of appearence).
In the begining of the story and all of the anime the uruha and Mori Koran
(that old sleazebag) fight the Hokage to get Yanagi because Mori Kouran
wants eternal life.

Recca
is the main character of this series. He very simpleminded but
also really nice. He can't stand to see girls cry. Recca
really came from 416 years ago when his mother sent him to the
future. Recca's only known LIVING relatives is his mom Kagero,
his brother Kurei, and his adopted father. |

Yanagi
plays the damsel in distress in Flame of Recca. She is Recca's
"hime" which means princess. She likes Recca too.
Yanagi's only ability is to heal. Otherwise she's pretty
useless when it comes to fighting (ducks angry Yanagi fans and Recca
flame), but healing is a great trait in itself (looks nervously at
Yanagi fans and Recca). I'm not much of a fan of Yanagi.
I think Fuuko is much better (ducks another fireball). Well I better
get going before I get burned to a crisp. |

Domon
is the brute of the team. He only knows to use brute strength
and not to use his brains. Domon has a HUGE crush on Fuuko
but apparently Fuuko doesn't love him (a case of unrequited love).
Then again I wouldn't either if I had Raiha (ducks angry Domon
fans). Poor Domon is a very under appreciated character. Fortunately
now there's a Domon appreciation club on Natsumi's site. |

Tokiya
is the bishounen of this series. He has Kurama's looks and
Hiei's attitude. Don't worry girls he's not yaoi but getting
him to actually love a girl is virtually impossible. He also
has a very sad past but I'm not going to spoil it. Go to
Uruha Jynssihsuu to read volume 4 or go to the Tokiya shrines I
have listed in the links section. He has a very icy attitude
but he is probably the most dependable and calmest teammate.
He and Recca obviously don't get along well either. The only
person that he appears to care for is Yanagi which is reasonable
since she looked like his sister. The only person that he
seems to get along well is Kagero (Kage Hoshi). I've seen
tons of fanfic writers trying to put Tokiya and Fuuko
together. I love Tokiya and Fuuko but getting Tokiya to love
Fuuko and admitting it would be harder than climbing Mout Everst.
I'm still rooting for the Raiha/Fuuko relationship. |

Kaoru
is a really kawaii character in Flame of Recca. He's sort of
like a mini Recca except smarter (ducks angry Recca fans).
Raiha is a kind of mentor figure to him. He prevented Neon
from killing Kaoru. Kaoru used to work for Kurei but after
he saw Kurei torturing Yanagi he decided to help the Hokage.
His weapon is the Kougan Anki. It has 5 forms and you need
to assemble it. It takes a normal person 10 seconds to
assemble it but it only takes him 0.6 seconds. You can't
miss a step either. He cares for Yanagi and loves teasing
Recca. |
