Demonic oppression affects many parts of an individual. They oppress the thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and medical symptoms of the person being oppressed.
THOUGHTS: Compulsive thoughts - I am no good, I am a total failure, I am evil, I am beyond help. You try so hard to escape these thoughts about yourself, but they seem so true. Satan is the great deceiver and he has a way of showing you things in your life (sins and transgressions) to confirm the lies you are hearing about yourself.
Confusion in many or all areas of thinking. With this confusion, decisions are about impossible to make, because even though in your heart you have truth, the confusion keeps you running in circles.
When reading the Bible or hearing others talk about God, you hear all kinds of hateful thoughts towards God, His Word, and other Christians.
Nighmares are another common form of controlling our thought process. They cause fear and night terrors, to increase our fear and seperate us from trusting the Lord Jesus Christ. They also put us in a fight/flight response behavior pattern.
Thoughts of hurting yourself and suicide are also a sign of demonic oppression. Demonic oppression has led many people to self-injury and suicide attempts.
FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS- Demonic oppressions changes and controls our feelings and emotions. Some of these are: hatred and bitterness, unforgiveness, hostility, depression, rage, feelings of terror and paranoia, self-hatred and self-condemnation, condemnation of others, including the Lord Jesus Christ.
COMPULSIVE BEHAVIORS- Lying, stealing, drinking, drugs, eating, sexual perversions, inability to change these behaviors. Irritational behaviors, such as laughing and crying, excessive mood swings, etc..
PHYSICAL CHANGES:- Seizures can be a sign of demonic oppression. Other body pains and medical problems that leave when receiving deliverance from demonic oppression through the Lord Jesus Christ. |
