Welcome to Redwood Coast Internal Arts.  We're a school of Taiji (Tai Chi) and related arts located in Sonoma and Mendocino Counties, in coastal northern California.  Our primary practice system is Vertical Axis Taiji as taught by Taiwanese Master Chern Chyu Kuan.  We also integrate practices from varoius other sources aimed at health and rejuvination and developing the legendary "soft" martial skills of the ancient masters. Our repertoir of body conditioning, Qigong, Taiji forms, push hands, sparring, and grappling comprise an integrated system for developing a "Taiji body": soft yet connected, rooted yet agile, non-martial yet with self-defense skills.  We offer classes and seminars directed toward healing and martial arts for beginners and advanced practicioners alike. Our countpart, Sierra Nevada Internal Arts, holds classes and the renowned Masters on the Mountain martial arts seminars in Nevada City and Truckee.
