Sam Edwards is a true geezer in the internal arts, having practiced Taiji, Bagua, and Qigong for some 40 years.  Sam has travelled the world filming and training with esteemed masters and practicioners in order to glean wisdom from their practice.  Sam founded Redwood Coast Internal Arts and Sierra Nevada Internal Arts in order to share his unique, ecclectic approach to training, which integrates principles and methods from many traditions in order to seek the most effective route to internal development.  Sam hosts the Masters on the Mountain seminars in Truckee, where practicioners from many different healing and martial arts assemble together and share their practice.  Sam occasions our Ukiah and Healdsburg classes.
Frank Broadhead practices Taiji,  Aikido, and various other arts, and teaches the Chern, Wu and secret Yang Tai Chi forms.  Frank came to the internal arts after suffering an immobilizing crisis of the spine in his 40's.  He overcame this crisis in a relatively short period by practicing Taiji and has likewise had many successes in helping students overcome a variety of ailments.  He is a well respected practicioner of Bowen body therapy.  Frank holds Taiji classes in Ukiah.
Jake Newell emphasizes the Daoist roots of the internal arts, focusing on sitting meditation and Chern's Taiji, which he credits with developing softness, root, and integrated body resonance.  In the fall of 2006, He spent 10 days training closely with Master Chern and Miss Lee in Taiwan.  He incorporates principles and methods from Taiji, Daoism, traditional Chinese medicine, Systema, Aikido, Feldenkrais, and Zen.  Jake continues his martial training with NorCal Systema, and his Daoist training with the American Dragon Gate Lineage of Quanzhen Daoism.  He holds classes in Healdsburg.
