-12.28.02- G'Day!

It's been a tad slow out there in the news world if your wondering about the lack of yesterday's update. Sometimes not much of interest really seems to happen so instead of posting a bunch of worthless drivel I'll just post nothing at all. Or perhaps I'll just save it up for a few days...

Not really worthless, but not really too useful either are these two bits of artwork regarding the forthcoming Final Fantasy 12. If you haven't already seen them on Gamefront or other sites take a peek now. The first picture is a poster depicting a city from the proposed game. While no real gameplay information can be gleaned from the picture it does offer a possible tone for the game, which so far is definately in the positive side of the spectrum. The second picture contains some staff pics and information, as well as a few possible vehicle and achitecture sketches. Again it looks very nice so far for what it is.

For Sonic the Hedgehog fans keep your ears peeled around E3 this year. Apparently a new Sonic game is the works, and isn't a sequel to the Sonic Adventure series but an entirely new endeavor.

If you live in Europe and haven't been too stoked on the Xbox console then Microsoft is hoping to change your mind, with a free DVD. Apparently MS is releasing 2 million of said DVD's to promote it's console's features through the interactive disc.

Lastly on today's calvacade of rather dull news stories is word that the CEO of 3DO will help finance the company to the tune of 10 million dollars, part of which has already been in the works. 3DO is largely known as the publisher of all those Army Men games, and it's failed home console system. This move is the latest in a seemingly endless stream of merger, buyout, sellout, and reasessing the finances of video game companies as of late. The video game industry may be "big time" nowadays, but it's still far from being an econmic juggernaut it seems.

Well, that's all I got for today. Hopefully tommorow will bring something tasty to digest and ponder. Tata for now.
