Guitar

Students at American have the unique opportunity to learn how to play guitar in one of two levels of guitar class. Both classes include instruction in the following:

1. reading music notation
2. reading chord diagrams
3. reading tablature

All students are required to complete quarterly guitar projects as part of their grade. More detail can be found in the Guitar Grading Policy.

Students must provide their own acoustic (non-electric or acoustic/electric) guitar for the class. Other materials will be provided.
