Bradlie began taking riding lessons this past summer.  She started out on one of her instructor's lesson horses, but quickly took the chance to practice with Cameo after Lily was weaned.  Cameo could use the work out anyway since she is pretty overweight, but I thoroughly believe Cameo is excited to ride with Bradlie.  They are a real pair, and I think Cameo would go to the ends of the Earth for Bradlie.

Bradlie hopes to show Cameo and Lily in the 4-H show this coming summer of 2008.

Bradlie's riding coach has said she is a very quick study.  She's learned a lot in a very short amount of time.  To further impress, Bradlie has also had the task of teaching Cameo the riding games and rules as she is still trying to learn to ride!  Cameo can be a handful at time when she doesn't want to do as Bradlie asks, but Bradlie's cool head has won out each time.
Bradlie's tender heart and easy going attitude makes her a magnet for animals.  Be they cats, dogs, possums, horses, or cows; all animals seem to naturally gravitate to her and immediately show full confidence in the fact that she will not harm them.

Her compassion for all things in this world is one of the things I cherish most about her.  It's so rare, especially in kids now-a-days.
Bradlie and Suzie on a romp through the yard.  Just one month or so of riding lessons and Bradlie was no longer afraid to trot Suzie through the grass.  Suzie-Q was equally pleased for this time to play with Bradlie all by herself.
