As a sophomore in high school now, Cody's passions include football, dirt bikes, football, and more football.  His freshman year he was the starting quarterback for the freshman team, and as a sophomore he was starting running back for the Varsity team.  He was even the replacement quarterback for Varsity when the starting quarterback was unable to participate in 3 games this year.

Cody also has his driver's license.  Now how about that job, son?
Oh how time flies, and then crash lands in my back yard.  Was it only two brief years ago I snapped this picture on the right?  Cody was just learning to jump his bike and be confident with no wheels on the ground.

Now he's a hot shot who begs me to take pictures of him jumping his bike as far and high as he can possibly throttle it.  He's been working on his act and can now take his hands off the bars, turn to look at me, do a knack-knack, and even take both feet off the pegs and click his heels in front of the handlebars - all in midair!
Cody prefers horse power of the wheeled variety, but occassionally I have convinced him to hit the trails on horseback with Ben and me.  The picture to the right is actually the first time Cody had ridden a horse in over 2 years.  He is riding the newest addition to our barn this summer, Penny.  One scarey trail ride on one scarey mount can ruin a good horse riding boy for quite some time.  As he has matured these last two years, though, he is starting to overcome that fear.
Always the Show Boat, you can see here that Cody usually always keeps his wonderful sense of humor.  It's one of the things I love most about him.

I actually won 2nd place at the County Fair's photo contest this summer with a collection of photos of Cody jumping on the trampoline.
