February 24, 2004 Gunner Brayman USMC, range officer at Camp Pendleton, signed our guestbook today OOH RAH! Gunner has a nice CO2 match pistol purchased from Cabellas. He is looking forward for some free time to stop by the club and shoot. Welcome aboard Gunner! I will stop by the club tomorrow or Thursday. !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

February 23, 2004 Noli De Leon signed our guestbook today from Manila in the Philippines. We have been getting a lot of hits from members of http://groups.yahoo.com/group/philippine_airguns . These guys hunt all sorts of game as a food source. There is a picture of a large that was later cooked adobo style after first roasting over a fire to remove the skin. Michael was happy about his shooting in the rain yesterday. !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

February 22, 2004 I was at work and received a call from Michael that it was raining heavily in South San Diego and he had planned to shoot. I called Michael ("Butch") later in the afternoon (I live and work in San Diego North County) because I could see the black clouds in the southern view. I could hear the rain over his phone. Michael decided to shoot on his patio despite the weather! Days like this I wish I had a basement setup like Gary (no basements in the sunshine earthquake state!). I still have my office trap and next to that my field target - Pellet J. Squirrell. Capped off about 20 pellets into the office trap and knocked down Pellet J. Squirrell (all while I was updating the news and responding to E-Mails). Vinchy Lyrios signed our guestbook from the Philippines today! Welcome! Got an informative E-Mail from Gary today on The Daisy 880 w/ballistics - next meeting! !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

February 20, 2004 We watched the rest of Gary Anthony's video. Hey Gary, "Butch" used to reload his rounds the same way as you - including cutting for length! He went bowling with his wife Perlita after closing the store. Butch is an enthusiest of photography - I think we've found your filipino brother! Gary's video brought out the past and present passion in all of us - Thank you Gary - We voted you unanimously the first proxy member of F.A.C.T.S.! Since we each have our own gig, we are each making our own videos to compile our club. I think we are unique in that members DO NOT have to shoot at the club! You have to see Lanny's and Linda's new 2004 FORD Explorer Limited in Ivory. I think it has dual butt scratchers LOL! !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

February 17, 2003 Have been doing some quick tuning on a Norinco Fast deer B3 Rifle and an Industry Brand QS35 Pistol. Opened the box w/Lanny at the club last night. Will stop by the clubhouse later today. Both of these are accurate! After shooting these, though, it makes my 717 so easy! Later... stopped by the club. Michael, Lanny, "Doc" (Paul), Ed, & many others were stopping through and shooting. Doc was shooting tight groups with the QS35 and the 717. Michael and Lanny spent some time with the QS35 and then back to the 717's and 747's. We stacked some 2x6's and cracked through them with the NorincoFast Deer. And then... the best part. We watched Gary Anthony's (SirTonySteel) video. What a collection and such a wealth of knowledge. We will be talking about this stuff for some time! !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

February 8, 2004 Added 3 new links to airgun clubs in the Philippines on our homepage. This is the first introduction to field target shooting for some of them. They definately are having fun. Bought a program called The Ultimate Target Challenge. It takes you on various courses including skeet. You select from over 100 different firearms. Will stop by the clubhouse today. Try these sites http://www.oocities.org/heightaddict and http://www.blsnipers.tk also try http://www.oocities.org/pistoleer2001 from Australia. !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

February 7, 2004 Maury brought some of his pistols to work. Some Crosmans, a Daisy, and a HEAVY wood grip target pistol. Maury prefers CO2, Pre-Charged, and scuba refillable type guns. I signed our club with several Yahoo! airgun groups including a club in the Philippines. From all this advise ME (muzzle energy) is the most important factor with the springers. Check out the new links on the home page. !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

February 5, 2004 All 3 firing lanes were open. Lanny, Michael and Ric were on target staying within the rings. Dennis (a former matchshooter) stopped by. He was bitten by the airgun bug before even shooting. Dennis will stop by Big 5 to pick up a Crosman 1377. Dennis is a southpaw and the 1377 has a universal handgrip. Gary Anthony from Fenton, Missouri has been giving us tips on selecting pellets for field targets and general target shooting. Gary's advice is valuable, accurate, based on years of shooting, will save you lots of money, and Gary shares his wisdom free of charge! THANK YOU GARY! We are benefitting from your expertise. !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

February 4, 2004 Stopped by the clubhouse. Finally coaxed Michael to cap a few rounds (Michael is suffering from major jet lag). There is a nationwide ban on shooting in the Philippines due to current presidential elections, although Michael saw some awesome airguns during his trip. Lanny's got some gastro issues. He's spent 8 of the last 10 hours hogging the head! !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

February 2, 2004 The clubhouse opens up again tomorrow. Michael and Perlita are back from the Philippines and I'm anxious to hear the airgun news from the Far East. I've been shooting with every bit of free time I have. We've been corresponding with Gary Anthony from Yahoo! Groups backyardmarkmanship in Fenton Missouri sirtonysteel@aol.com and Robert Fischer of the Kermit Airgun Club in Kermit Texas http://kcugonline.com/kac . There are airgunners around the globe just like us. !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

January 26, 2004 We have not become even a least bored in three months of shooting! Shot cans, field targets, and paper bulls in the morning. Capped the office trap late in the evening. We have not yet heard from AAFTA (American Airgun Field Target Association http://www.aafta.org ). Worked on the sear of Yellow Bird (Can't wait to cap that canary in competition). A 1" KZ (kill zone) on a Field Target is a dead meat target for our gang! !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

January 25, 2004 Took a few days off from journalistic commentary. Shot rounds every day. Fine tuning the field targets and sears. Michael will be back on February 4th. He and Lanny had better have been practicing or there will be a tuneup period. Send us E-Mails with any comments, questions, requests, or suggestions. !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

January 20, 2004 Stopped by to chat with Lanny. Passed on my copy of Airgun Illustrated which featured Lanny's favorite "The Triumph 747". We currently have a total of six fully functional field targets, all with a 1 1/8" KZ. We will construct six more with a 1/2" KZ, six with a 3/4" KZ, and six with a 1 3/8" KZ. Annabelle mangled some 7-Up cans this morning with a 717. Beware when she gets "serious"! Added our new E-Mail link ( forexairgun@yahoo.com ) to the homepage. !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

January 19, 2004 Finished three more field targets. I'm getting used to the sear. Went to Harbour Freight and Salvage in Escondido to get a workbench vise. Ended up with the vise, a cordless drill and extra battery, and an orbital sander (I must have saved hundred$, but why is my wallet so light now?)! The best way to make the sear is to grind the threads of a 1/4" hex carriage bolt near the head, tap into the hole on the target and screw snug, then firmly secure the bolt with plastic wood, let dry, cut off the head of the bolt, then file all rough and sharp edges smooth. Picked up a copy of Airgun Illustrated at Fry's Electronics in Escondido and will read it tomorrow. !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

January 18, 2004 Made a rabbit field target for Maury, one of the mechanics at my work. We will get him involved soon. Maury has an old collection of airguns. Michael is probably suffering from jet lag in the Philippines right now. !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

January 17, 2004 Painted the field targets. Cut out some new faces.Have plenty of hardware to construct more. Will make some Armadillo targets with 1 3/8' bulls on Tuesday. Practiced on the field targets in the office. !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

January 16, 2004 Brought the revised Thumper Rabbit over to the clubhouse. Michael was clobbering the field targets. I was peeling the paint off the washer surround the bull on Pellet J. Squirrell. Performed major surgery on the field targets with plastic wood. Will sand and repaint tomorrow. The clubhouse will be closed starting Sunday for a period of two weeks while Michael and Perlita vacation in the Philippines. I will use my time off to build more field targets and draft out club by laws. I think Lanny's pistol is starting to develop rust! !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |

January 15, 2004 Building more field targets preparing for future matches. Michael and a few others fiired for about a half hour yesterday. We've got the sears down pat. !Shooting Shooting Masarap! |
