"Drinkers with a Running Problem"

The Managua Hash House Harriers get together every two weeks to run or hike a trail in somewhere in Nicaragua.  Hiking or running with this group is different because the trails are intentionally marked so that it takes a little longer to find your way to the end.  At the end of each trail is a party waiting to happen.  At the circle, the group meets up, tells jokes and has a traditional way of greeting new people who sometimes have beer dumped on their head.  All in good fun, of course.
The House House Harriers started by a group of people from Britain many years ago and there is an H3 group in virtually every big city worldwide.  The group is open to any newcomers and running information can usually be found their local website.

The Managua Hash House Harriers has been one the best ways for us to meet expats in Nicaragua.  The participants come from all over the world including people from: Denmark, Canada, England, Holland, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Japan, France, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and more.
