2004 Benefits


1. Chamber News! – This is a quarterly newsletter that is published for all Chamber members. It includes information about many different topics from meeting minutes to local awareness.

2. Business Spotlight – The Business Spotlight is a program that was developed to recognize local business with both member and non-member statuses. Each month the Board of Directors chooses an Ohio County Business for the Business Spotlight. The winner gets an article in the Ohio County Newspaper and a Certificate of Achievement.

3. Information Upon Request– The Chamber has been working hard to provide information for you business. There are many topics to choose from and most are free! Please reference to the Table of Contents for a list of available information.

4. Advertisement – As a Chamber member you get a free link from the Chamber Web Site to your site!

5. Health Insurance – Available upon request for business with two or more employees not related.

6. Long Distance Phone Service though Indicom.

7. Business Development Programs/Workshops.

8. Networking Opportunities – After hours special events to give your business a chance to meet with other business owners in the community.

9. Website – As a member, your Business name, address, phone, fax, e-mail, and url will be listed on the website. We also offer discounted advertising rates to have your logo/banner listed on the website.

10. SBDC - In 2004 the Ohio County Chamber of Commerce is beginning a partnership with the Small Business Development Center located in Madison, IN. Numerous seminars, conferences and workshops are offered by the SBDC as well. These address topics ranging from financing, feasibility analysis, basic management techniques, financial analysis, business planning, marketing and sales, purchasing, accounting/record keeping, law and risk protection, marketing planning, and several others. Other services provided by the local SBDC include access to libraries containing information on specific issues, as well as access to business professionals. The best part is that majority of all the infomation they provide is free! Some of the workshops may have a small fee.
