West Nile found send a cellphone virus over myspace in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON A dead blue jay found in Jefferson County has tested positive for West Nile virus, according to a news release from the Jefferson County Health Department.
It is the first bird that has tested positive for the virus in Jefferson County since monitoring began May 1.
Residents should be “more vigilant” in protecting themselves against virus scan free mosquito bites, said Gail Scott, public health director.
West Nile virus is spread to humans through the bite of an infected mosquito. Mosquitoes contract the virus by feeding on infected birds.
Jefferson County will continue to monitor for West Nile virus through the end of the mosquito season. Once two birds have tested positive for the virus in the county, testing will be discontinued, but reports of sick or dead birds should be reported.
