About Darlene Rose
Darlene Rose has a BA in Music Education from the Conservatory of Music at the University of the Pacific in Stockton California. She strives to instill a life-long love of music with her teaching methods. Ms. Rose understands that the early years are the most critical to the development of a child's personality, values and relationships. Her teaching style will center on implementing the following skills: focus and concentration, listening and observations, proper techniques and repetition, and positive reinforcement for continued encouragement. Ms. Rose believes that musicianship and intercommunication are key components in her continued success as a performer and an educator.
After teaching as a public school music educator for 9 years in New Hampshire, California, Connecticut, and Michigan, Darlene has decided to pursue her private teaching career in Washington. She moved up north after completing a year of private and group instruction in Vancouver. She has over 20 years experience as a professional violinist and violist performing in symphonies, chamber ensembles, musical productions, and string quartets. Look for her this season playing with the Sammamish Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera Northwest and freelancing throughout King County.
It is Darlene's goal as a music teacher to be of service to the musician in all of us, to bring out and cultivate the creative musician in others, and to bring music into the homes of people who seek to play and learn, listen and grow musically.
