The Greatest Hits
Description;  Captain America in all of his amazing glory.

The figure is approximately 6" tall and comes with a ton o' articulation and is very well sculpted to capture the look and chain-mail armor of this forgotten comic icon.

The piece comes with a shield that fits on Capt's arm AND his back and also comes with a gorgeous stand that looks like a bullet-riddled wall and tank from WW II.
Captain America- Marvel Legends, Toy Biz
Meat and Potatoes; 5.0
Perks; 5.0
Homer Factor; 5.0
Poor Captain America.  The guy is one of the great comic characters, a patriotic-in-a- cool-way icon, but he gets so little press.  Where as Golden Age icons Superman and Batman wallow in glory and licensing BILLIONS, Capt sits quietly while young whipper-snappers The X-Men and Spidey rake in all the licensing and movie accolades.

Well, not any more... at least as far as toys go.  Marvel jumped in big-time into the high-end figure market with Marvel Legends, and one of their flag-ship pieces is Cap himself.  Although Captain America doesn't get as much fanfare as he deserves, Toy Biz did the dude proud.

Meat and potatoes are sweet on this one.
Ok, ok, so there are still too many joints, making this thing a bit ghoulish looking, like the Iron Man piece.  Actually in some ways this works to the figures advantage.  Keep in mind this guy is as skilled a fighter as Batman, so being able to contort in so many ways does fit the character.  I could still do without the TOES flexing, but you know what I mean.  Just the same, the sculpt is a beauty to behold, capturing even details like the chain-mail armor Cap wears.

Perks?  Now this is a huge surprise, because they're perfect.  Ok, you GOTTA have the shield, but the nice touch is not only can Cap hold the shield, but there are elastic binders on the shield so that Cap can wear it on his back, as he occasionally does in the comic.   So what else do you do for this figure?  Well since he's a WW II hero, give him a stand that looks like the obliterated turret of a Panzer tank, a back-ground that is the shot-up wall of a building, and American flag to round-out the entire ensemble.  Very, very, VERY nice.

Homer Factor?  Hey, it's a Golden Age Icon and it's a Marvel Select figure.  Can you go wrong?

Um, no, you cannot go wrong.  Over-all, this is an excellent piece of work, from the well-craft figure to the very appropriate stand, it is a perfect testament to the figure.  All patriots, please rise.
