The Greatest Hits
Description;  At the time, one of the more amazing Transformers; not, one, not two, but SIX transformations in one.  Woohoo!

In robot mode, Six-Shot is approximately 10" tall, tourqoise torso, grey thighs and arms, dark purple feet.  The figure transforms into a tank, truck, jet, wolf, and gun.

Six-Shot is also equipted with a pair of energy cannons which are hand-held in robot mode and are attached to various hard-points in the five other modes.

Ok, so what do you do in the wake of the MASSIVE re-issue bug at Takara?  Hmmm.. Jetfire?  Oops, actually that was licensed in the US from another toy company.  Doh.  Scorponok/Black Zarak?  Nah, already did a Headmaster with Fortress Maximus/Grand Maximus.  Prowl?  No... did Sideswipe already... hmmmmmmmmmm.  Waitaminute... what about THIS one; Six-Shot!!!  Before Gigatron/Devil Gigatron busted out a ton o' transforming possibilities, the record-holder was this piece.  Not flawless, but any means, but still a ton o' fun.

The meat and potatoes... wellllllllllllll... Like
God Ginrai, Six-Shot suffered  from the very mediocre sculpting and articulation of the time.  Details are very 'eh' on the figure, minimal panel lines, vents, you get the picture.  Unfortunately, there aren't any decals to put SOME detail on this thing, so you have a pretty flat looking piece of plastic.  Ugh.  To compound matters the articulation bites.  The figure in bot-mode moves at the shoulders only.  Due to the multitude of transformations, the legs cannot move forward or back in a walking motion.  They only move so that Six-Shot can change from mode to mode, so there is no posability in this piece.  Over all, Six-Shot looks like it was originally molded from Legos, very, very, very blocky in appearance in all modes.

So what's the big deal?  Well, HAVE YOU EVER SEEN SOMETHING TRANSFORM INTO SIX MODES????!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!  Didn't think so.  Ok, so the modes do look a bit alike; the jet-mode and gun modes are basically the robot mode, accept the feet are squished together to form the nose of the jet.  The wolf mode is basically the robot mode, accept with some bending here and there.  Fortunately, the tank and truck modes are both pretty cool.  Nonetheless, we're talking SIX transformations in one piece.  Whoa.

Homer factor?  At the time, buyers were very impressed; how MANY transformations?  Ok, ok, so now the sculpting is much more detailed, articulation is so amazing you can have your figures break-dance if you want.  Still... SIX TRANSFORMATIONS??  Hey, that's pretty cool.

Over-all, it's a fun piece to own, the display quality of the piece is kinda 'eh' because of the mediocre sculpting and the horrible articulation.  However, the six transformations give the piece some very good playability, and also a number of different options for displaying on your shelf.  In the end, it's still a fun piece.  Just keep in mind that you're spending some serious bucks on this one if you're buying it now.
