Are there any problems?  Of course.  Most notably, Ken Watanabe got screwed.  I LOVED him in 'The Last Samurai' and when I heard he was Ras Al Ghul, I jumped for joy!  Katsumoto vs. Batman!  Sweet!  Watanabe's presence is amazing... all five minutes of it.  AAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

The other problem is Gordon.  The fun of reading 'Batman - Year One' (The seminal origin, by the way) is seeing both Batman AND Gordon dealing with the cesspool of Gotham.  Unfortunately there isn't enough time to see Gary Oldman develop Gordon.  We get the impression he's a good cop trying to make a difference, but there isn't' enough STUFF in the movie to show that.  Granted, it's understandable you have to cut something in a two 1/2-hour movie, but I hoped for more.  Oh well, such is life.

The final verdict?  This was an amazing film.  I'm still in awe of this movie.  No, it's not perfect by any means, but this is a HUGE boost for the franchise and for any fans of the Dark Knight.  So go, enjoy... and yes, the end leaves it dangling for a sequel.
