Ramblin' Man
Comic Book Ramblin'; 'Space Ghost', Joe Kelly and Ariel Olivetti
Back to p. 1

In the end it’s the story that sells everything.  Like ‘The Matrix’ this tale is influenced by a TON of westerns.  Whether it’s ‘The Lone Ranger’ or a ton o’ Clint Eastwood flicks about a guy who returns for payback, it’s a gripping plot.  The honorable man who’s been wronged, lost everything, and feels like some has got to pay.  Another great part of the story is everything IS explained.  The costume was actually the official police uniform for this universe.  The armbands and belt were created by a master weapons-smith that’s paying penance for destroying his planet.  Each element wasn’t simply plugged into the story.  Everything comes together VERY well.

All in all this is a very, very fine story.  No, this ain’t your parents Space Ghost, and yet he is.  This is a chance for a new look at this classic character.  Enjoy.
