'Hey, these are freaking small, why bother?' Yeah, I know some of y'all wonder that. Not a wise thing to say since 'Star Wars' and 'GI Joe' fans LOVE the smaller sized figures. They still have lots of articulation, accessories, and it's a great chance to put the figures into those awesome vehicles. Bwahahahahahahahhaha! Sure the McFarlane Toys' version was VERY good (link) and you can't do a WWE Cage-Match with your regular sized figures with this tiny guy. Just the same there are a ton of reasons why Microman has prospered in Japan and there are still a ton o' fans on this side of the Pacific who dig the smaller figures. Does size matter? Yeah, yeah, stop giggling! Hey, you can always compensate though. Hehehehehehehehehehe. Meat and potatoes on this piece are just amazing. The sculpting on the figure is very detailed. Ok, ok, it's not Marvel Legends detailed so you can't see pores on the character's face. However you get everything from the teeth on the creature's face to the claws, everything. Now the articulation IS Marvel Legends quality. There are double joins on the elbows and knees, ball-and-socket joints in the shoulders and hips, and it goes on and on. There is a full rage of playing, er, I mean POSING possibilities. The perks on this piece are over-the-top. Like many Microman figures this one comes with about a dozen different hands ranging from fists to hands molded for holding weapons. The figure also comes with a TON of weapons. Four sets of blades which attach to the Predator's gauntlets, two of the spinning blades, one knife, the shoulder cannon, and two spears. Whew! Each piece connects easily and disconnects just as easily from the figure. The weapons are as well crafted as the figure. Sweet! And he even comes with a stand. Double sweet! Homer factor? Hey, I LOVE Microman figures. Each figure is beautiful and comes packaged with lots of stuff. It's hard NOT to enjoy these figures. Then throw on the fact this is the mucho-armed Predator from 'A Vs. P' and it's begging for purchase. In the end this is a great figure. Ok, ok, if you DON'T like your figures smaller then the palm of your hand you will want to pass. This thing is tiny and kind delicate so it's not meant to be beat up. However if you don't have size-envy (Insert off-color jokes here) and love great craftsmanship, grab this piece. And remember there's also an Alien figure. Hehehehehehehehehhehehehe! |
