First, no I didn't NOT sew this together. I have amazing culiinary skills, but I"m lucky if I can sew a button on. Sigh. I did purchase a pattern for a surcoat with the silly notion of putting one together my self... and then I looked at it and realized I am crazy!
So I cheated and just bought stuff! It's been a three year process, but the results aren't bad. The sword and red period shirt were purchased at a local Ren Faire two years ago and last year, respectively. The cloak and belt were purchased this summer at a local sci-fi convention. Finally the surcoat I snagged via E-bay. |
