The Toy Collectors Tool Kit Nothing is as annoying for me when opening up a new acquisition as opening the blister... then going 'Great, got twist-ties... gotta get some clippers for the twist ties... ok, got THOSE off. NOW there's the TAPE holding the plastic trays in. Ok, get the Exacto... cut them out... waitaminute... now the freaking figure is stuck inside the tray!!!!!! Aaaaaagggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!' Sometimes just getting the thing out of the package is as hard as finding the figures. So after dealing with all of this, I put together my little 'toy collector's tool kit.' It's a few things I always seem to need when I'm opening up a new piece, or I'm trying to tidy a few things on the figure and make it look cooler. All of these fit into one of those cool separator trays you get in the hardware section for screws and nails. Tim Taylor, eat your heart out, here's MY tool kit. Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. 1. Leather-men tool; wire-cutters, needle-nose pliers, blade, a file. So compact but so functional. 2. Nail clippers or nail scissors; to get those pesky plastic pieces cut out of a sprew. 3. Exacto knife; no hobbyist should be without it. 4. Crazy glue; for those stupid pieces that just fall off. Doh! 5. Dental tools; I know, sounds weird, but nothing like having these little things around to pry-out a figure from those stubborn plastic trays, or trying to snag something that you can't seem to reach with those needle-nose pliers. |
