The Ultimate Batman Figure
Hey, if we're going to start, let's start with what we ALL want, right?  Hasbro finally created a simple, gothic, detailed, wonderful Batman figure with the Dark Knight Detective Batman figure from the Legends of the Batman line.  However, there are still a few things it could use.  The figure itself was perfect, the classic scowl, the costume in all black with gold high-lights, the HUGE cape.  The articulation however, could be much, much better.  Waist, elbows, even ankes would be very appropriate.  Kaiyodo, the creators of the Neon Genesis Evangelion figures, have also developed some very neat joints that allow your figures to not just bend at the knees, but also take on many realistic poses, such as kneeling in a sniper position and having both hands hold a sword.  This sense of detail could allow Batman to take on martial arts poses, e.g. blocking and striking stances.

The key, though, are the accessories.  Although I do like the cape Hasbro created, it would be perfect if the cape could also WRAP around the figure.  McFarlane toys did a wonderful job of this on their first Spawn figure from Spawn Series 1.  Hinges were built into the cape so that the cape could literally 'wrap' around the figure.

And, of course, there is the utility belt.  Combat Belt Batman from Batman-the Animatds Series, Series 1 and the recent 12" Batman Adventures figures have come the closest to actually giving the Dark Knight some neat tools attached to the figure's belt.  Unfortunately, the accessories all tended to be rather bulky and just BARELY fit into the belt.  I would rather have a TON of accessories that Batman could hold rather then just a handfull of things that fit into a 7" scale utility belt.  A set of shrikens, a grappling hook gun, a pair of binoculars, the works.

Finally, the figure would come with a nice diorama to stand on; the Gotham skyline as the back-drop, maybe a gargoyle or two, and a working miniature Bat-signal
