It was with slight apprehension and nervous excitement that we walked into that small room on Sunday, September 18, 1977. Little did we know that in less than six months we would be installed as the one hundred eightieth link of Zeta Tau Alpha, Chapter Theta Xi.
Fall Rush began here at Rutgers University on September 18, 1977. Debbie Ensor, Field Secretary for ZTA, greeted us warmly and spoke to us about her sorority. During this week we met Dina Anderson, a junior transfer student from High Point College, where she was a member of Zeta's Delta Gamma chapter. We also met several members of a nearby Zeta Chapter, Zeta Lambda at Rider College. We could easily see that there was something special about this sorority. At the conclusion of Rush, nineteen happy girls received bids from ZTA, and on September 26, 1977, Theta Xi pledged eleven more Zetas. We were on our way!
