In 1992, Zeta Tau Alpha adopted The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation as the Fraternity's national philanthropy. At the 1996 International Convention, the Fraternity voted to increase ZTA's support of breast cancer awareness by backing all organizations committed to breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment. Race for the Cure As Zetas, we are always looking to "enrich and ennoble our lives" by helping others in need. The joy of sisterhood should be shared throughout our community, showing others we strive to make a positive difference. The Theta Xi of Zeta Tau Alpha has been an active participant in Race for the Cure over the years. Our women have shown their support by either running in the 5k event or volunteering by handing out water or directing runners and walkers. Our philanthropy is "Breast Cancer Awareness." The sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha are dedicated to increase breast cancer awareness through our various philanthropy events, and raise money for breast cancer research through our several fundraising events. |
