				Lions Clubs around the world have long been known for their assistance with eye conservation programs.  Here at the Saginaw Downtown Lions Club, we participate in these programs on local, state and international levels. One of the eyeglass services we support is the collection of used eyeglasses.  You may find used eyeglass drop boxes located in the Saginaw area, including,            .  Please look for our eyeglass collection drop box containing the logo as seen above.  Local funeral homes may also accept your donation, to then be collected by the Lions Club. Donations of used eyeglasses provide basic eyewear to those who have no means to afford them.  When you make a donation of used eyeglasses with the Saginaw Downtown Lions Club, the glasses are delivered to the Special Needs Vision Clinic in nearby Bridgeport, Michigan.  The volunteers and staff at the facility sort and clean the glasses for use.  Under the direction of a licensed Opthamologist, the glasses are then matched to the needs of individuals.
