Open a new image 400 x 400, transparent Use gold gradient for foreground, background null. Click on preset shapes, set to rectangle' Check antialias, set line width to 35. Set cursor at 0-0 and pull to 400-400 I am going to have you rename your layers so I can tell you the layer to be working on since I am not supplying screen shots. Duplicate your layer and name the duplicate layer 2, go image, resize, do NOT mark all layers, enter 95%, ok Duplicate this layer and name the duplicate layer 3, go image, resize, do NOTmark all layers, enter 95%, ok Duplicate this layer and name the duplicate layer 4, go image, resizse, do NOT mark all layers, enter 95%, ok Now you should have 4 layers each with a gold rectangle. each a little smaller than the preceeding one. Now, you can either leave these like they are or make layer 2 active and rotate 180%, make layer 4 active and rotate 180% (which is what I did) Click on layer 4, effects, innerbevel, settings-- Choose the 3rd bevel in the pictures, width 8, smoothness 4, depth 4, ambience, shininess, & angle 0, intensity 50, elevation 30 color C0C0C0 (light grey), click ok. While still on 4th layer apply drop shadow, color 211501 (or black), v&h 2, opacity 100, blur 18.5, repeat changing v & h to -2. Make layer 3 active and apply both drop shadows. Make layer 2 active and apply both drop shadows. Merge visible and save as a pfr file. You can add a pool shadow to you finished frame or you might try adding pool shadow to each layer before merging. Below is another frame with no bevel applied to layer 4, and I changed the setting for the drop shadows. Hope you find this tutorial useful and understandable. sandisuetoo |
