I was wondering why we (SCTX residents) are being asked to write the specs for these outside firms to bid on. With all due respect to the members of this committee, unless there are people there who have actual knowledge of this issue to qualify themselves as "experts", it would seem analogous to telling a doctor how you want your broken leg fixed. Perhaps it wouldn't hurt to contact other Sun City communities who are using such services. If we are going to have to tell these companies how we want our golf courses maintained, maybe these other communities could provide a little insight. We might be able to avoid some mistakes. Quite honestly, I feel these companies should provide the committee with an outline of what services they provide and at what cost (no doubt there is a good, better and best level to choose from) and let that information also be helpful in guiding you through this serious responsibility.
