Opposite is the list of Linux distributions. Included are small unknown versions of Linux even for floppies or USB zip drives. There are a lot of flavors to choose from. I have only tried a few out. One of the originals is Slakware Linux. This version is fully modifiable if you know what you are doing. And especially if you are setting up a server. Ubuntu is my best recommendation for an install and go to it. I went for the Linux distributions because they contain the most amount of free software. Drawing programs like the Gimp are very useful for photo editiing. I recommend trying out a few versions of Linux on an old computer first. It helps to get the feel of the installation process before hopping over to your main machine. There are of course more versions of Linux than are listed here. I left out many of the simular versions of Linux that were set up specifically for other Languages .Like the Russian and Chinese versions of Red Hat. A lot of the versions of Linux allow you to choose from many languages to begin with.
