1.Tell us about working with Writer/Director Rebecca Bagley... Rebecca was a sweetheart. She was smart and passionate about her work. She was also very nurturing and made me feel very comfortable. I felt very relaxed working with her and that is half the battle for an actor working on a film. Even though I had a small role she made me feel like the star.
2. In Chester, you played the part of Kenny McGruff. What inspired you to play this character? I needed a job! Kenny was a great part to do because I viewed him as basically a good guy who just hadn't gotten it together yet. He hadn't exercised all his demons so it made him a screw-up. But I think he really wanted to be a better person.
3. What were the highlights during production of Chester Story? When the cops had to run off all the hookers near where we were shooting the crash scene.
4. Can you tell us about some of your upcoming projects? I have a great little role in the film Leo which comes out in February. I got to work with Joe Fiennes, Sam Shepard and Dennis Hopper. I also have a fun role in The Angel Doll which also stars Cody Newton. And I am beginning to prepare to play the title role in Macbeth at the City Stage in Wilmington in February.
5. What's been your favorite role so far? The character Owen from the play Translations by Brian Friel.
6. Is there any particular Chester Story cast members that you would like to work with again? Wow, I didn't really get to work with any of the main characters except when a couple of them stood over me while I was dead. I would love to work with any of them. Cody and I have worked together before and I would work with him anytime.
7. What type of character havent you played, but would like to? The kind that comes with a big sack of money!
8. What are your hobbies when you aren't working? I own a couple of bars and have a six year old son so I don't have a lot of time for hobbies. I would love to have a plot to put in a big organic vegetable garden.
9. Finally, the first screenings of The Chester Story are due in early 2003. What do you hope audiences gain from viewing this film? A sense of hope I guess, that no matter what life throws you things will be okay. And that if you win the lottery stay out of the street! |
