Eugene Schwartzenberger, born in Logan Co. ND. on 6 November 1911, died in Wishek, ND. on 30 September 1968. Eugene was buried at Napoleon, ND. He married Veronica Bitz at St Anthony's Catholic Church, Logan Co. ND. on 07 August 1934. Veronica was born 12 miles So. of Napoleon, Logan Co. ND. on 03 March 1915, and died in Bismarck, ND. on 11 August 1974. She was the daughter of Mathias Bitz and Magdalena Frizon.
Obituary : Funeral services will be held at 10 o. m. Wednesday at Napoleon for Mrs. Veronica (Bitz) Schwartzenberger, 59, Napoleon died Sunday at Bismarck. Services will be at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.
Born March 3, 1915, 12 miles south of Napoleon to Mathias and Magdalena (Frizon) Bitz, she married Eugene Schwartzenberger, Aug. 7, 1934, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in rural Napoleon. They farmed for one year before moving into Napoleon. Mr. Schwartzenberger died Sept. 30,1968.
Mrs. Schwartzenberger leaves sons, Eugene, Chicago, III.; Jerome, Napoleon, and Robert, Ypsilanti, Mlich.; daughters, Roberta, Devils Lake; Geraldine.Oakes, lone Kemmet and Mrs. John ( Theresa) Glatt, both of Bismarck; Mrs. Arlan (Magdalen) Henke, Center, and Mrs. Harlan (Helen) Brunner, Helena, Mont.; Sisters Mrs. Martin Schwartzenberger, Yakima, Wash.; and Mrs. Anton Piatz Sr., Napoleon, brothers, Anton and Math, both of Napoleon, and Constance Edgeley, and 11 grandchildren.
