Welcome to Falc's Nest of Comic Animation.

All pictures on this page taken with my new Motorola E365 Camera Phone. What a little delight. Only use High Resolution on final day. I simply love this phone more with each day. Personally, I feel that Nokia should do something about their phones.

Kuala Lumpur - 19th to 21st March 2004

19th March 2004

This day, I woke at around 5.30 a.m. to get myself onto the chartered bus for Kuala Lumpur, awaiting for the 8 of us in Yio Chu Kang MRT Station. The mini bus was of great comfort and we practically slept soundly most of the journey to KL. Great weather all the way and we checked it Malaya Hotel in the heart of KL's Chinatown.

Throwing the bags into the room, we sped off to Bukit Bintang (KL's version of Orchard Road) to have a late lunch and some serious shopping. Being a comic nut, I raided a few of the shops. Of course, I had my fair share of my favourites like Kyro's Kerbab and Ramlee Burger.

Dinner is at Pertaling Jaya. A medium size wanton noodle is only RM4.00. After combing more comic shops and the night market, we had a light freshen up and head for the Bangsa, the most happening place (the later the better) in KL.

20th March 2004

After a late last night, woke a little late to have breakfast at the lobby. After which, the charteretd bus brings us direct to the circuit for the qualifying rounds. We made a pit stop to the F1 Village prior to the race. We spent times in taking photos with the F1 car, race girls, buy soveniers etc.

One thing which I cannot quite comprehend is the refusal by the authority to allow water into circuit. The price for bottled water in the circuit is easily 3 times that in KL's common market. One of the picture actually shows water being disposed off, at the gate. Hey, the tickets cost us RM150 for 2 days, okie?

After the qualifying round, and Michael is at pole AGAIN, we returned to Malaya Hotel for a quick freshen up. We have asked the driver to bring us to KLCC for shopping and a great dinner afterwhich. Sure another 4 hours of solid shopping, makan and err... can I say FUN for the two thousandth times?

Light-out late at around 1 a.m. after wondering around the Night Market in the Chinatown. Am almost sure that most of the people there to get the F1 goodies, were at the Sepang race that afternoon. Not that the suntan lotion smell still lingers but, probably the tan and the excitement in the eye (and being partially deaf...)

21st March 2004

On the final day, there was too much excitment to rest properly. During breakfast, met a dishonest hawker (let's not talk about it). Anyway, we missed the Tim Sum Stall intended originally. Wrong timing...

At 11.30 a.m. we were already sitted for the showdown. Seriously, the weather was dead hot and everyone was praying for shower. During the air display, there were droplets of water from above. Anyway, nothing significant poured from above, well at least, the climate is slightly more tolerable.

After seeing Michael Schumacher win for the thousandth times, we speed back to Singapore. Nothing major except for a little jam in the expressway. Home sweet home at 11.30 p.m. with loads of gifts and sweet memory.

As for the pic on the naked photographer, well he is a good friend who just wants to tell everyone that he is great fan of Michael Schumacher and no one else. That explains the cap and no other clothings... ha ha.
