DOGS
Affectionately known as the "doggie girls".  We have two now, having just lost our beloved litte Poinsetta in April.  Both of the current dogs (both female) are rescues.  StarDancer is the more recent. We never adopt dogs, they always seem to come to us, but this one we found at an adoption, and she needed to come home with us.  They have her listed as "Husky German Shepherd mix" but judge for yourself.  We think she looks a little more exotic than that, and it's her look combined with her personality that drew us to her.  She is only about 50 pounds, not a very large dog, certainly smaller than a Shepherd.

Is  that a coyote in our backyard?  Nope, its STARDANCER!!!  Isn't she pretty!!!

Our other dog is the large lady Spooky Face, so named for thos bright blue eyes coming up out of that dark face.  Now, this one we can believe is Malamute/GS mix, she's the right size and build, and certainly has the coloration.  She's a bit of a wild girl (she'll dig a hole spinning in circles when it's treat time) but she is very gentle with Myryha.  Both girls are excellent watch dogs, barking when necessary, but not to excess.

Love the girls!!!!
(below) This little guy (or not so little) is Buster Brown.  He's 3 months old in this photo. At 8 months, he's over 65 pounds and still growing... He's an Australian Shepherd Mix.   Also an adopted dog. He lives up at the farm with Grammie and Grandad.  Right - Grandad in August 2002 with Buster Brown (9 1/2 months old) and Tighe.
This was Buster Brown's dog Tighe.  (Yes, really). A little smooth-haired Heeler cross (heeler pit bull mix???) that adopted Grammie and Grandad.  Sadly, Tighe left one day and disappeared.  We miss him!

FLASH - Buster Brown is a Pappa!!!
See his PUPPIES here!!!
Here's Buster being "watchpup" over Myryha in February.  Note - she's 6 in the photo, he's 4 months...big puppy.
