A Prayer
Derived from Psalm 23
The Lord will lead me in the way I need to go
and on that path my needs will be met.
He will give me His best
according to His will for me.
The Lord's ways will bring peace to my soul.
When I fail to follow him,
I wil ask and He will forgive me
and the Lord again
will take me up as His sheep
and lead me into righteousness.
The Lord's path of righteousness
sometimes is through the roughest valleys,
but they are His valleys,
His path,
His will
and in that I will rest.
I am but a sheep
and must follow the Good and Gentle Shepard
who will once again
deliver me from the valley
to His green pastures and still waters
according to His time.
Amen
