A Mere Pacifist No More
The peacemaker is first the pacifist
who realizes not what true peace really is.
She bends to everyone else's whims
for surely her own are not as worthy of that
simply because she is not as yet her own
but only fragments of all that is
with boundaries that blend and fuse and meld
dissolving in their flowing and nebulous confusion
any hint of a cohesive sense of self
casting first by mandate of involutionary course
through seas of illusion
and many unexpressive shades of gray
that slowly separate truth from not truth
self from not self
individuation from compliance and stifling structure
for the sake of not making waves.
Process pinned, in quiet defiance,
and by shadows doomed,
she dies again and again
under the vigilant Unveiled Moon
only to be reborn in a fiery spark of raw realization
and bathed in Universal Waters, renewed;
a mere pacifist no more.
