NEWS... |
18-10-2000 Well the Shihad chat has been and gone, and it was fantastic. Karl and Jon were bombarded with all manner of questions. And Jon had a hard time trying to keep up...but there is one bit of bad news. Shihad are probably not playing the Big Day Out gigs in Australia, but there is a small possiblilty that the guys may make a special appearance at the Auckland Big Day Out. Fingers crossed that they do play in other states and that they actually do play at the Big Day out. But Karl has assured me that they will be playing at the 2002 Big Day Out. So if they don't play in 2001 then they are in 2002. They want to, it's just the promoters and organisers that won't let them!!!! Let's bombard them with email demanding that they let Shihad play!!!!!!!!!!! |
This will be updated as soon as I get any news from the guys... |
25-10-2000 Well the ARIAS were on last night, and unfortunately Shihad did not win any awards. They were nominated for three awards, but were beaten by KIlling Heidi and Madison Avenue. But they did perform a killer rendition of The General Electric. I think it was pre-recorded because they had to beep out bits and pieces of the song ( I think you know which bits). Anyway, it was pretty cool, and the coca-cola mosh was going crazy too (you know the kiddies that they get in to scream their heads off). So I guess that is all from the ARIAS. I will have some pictures up that I've taken from the TV (cos I taped the show off the TV...hehehe...). One other thing, I saw thing little snippet on the news and Shihad arrived at the ARIAS in style...in a bright yellow hovercraft!!!! How classy and rock star-ish??? |
6-11-2000 I found out some very interesting news for shihad fans in Sydney. The guys are playing a one off gig at the Metro on George Street on the 1st of December. Tickets are on sale now and are available at the Metro box office only. The support acts are Superheist and another act to be announced...probably Weta (here's hoping!!!). Also, the chat transcript from the chat that Jon and Karl did a couple of weeks ago is available to be viewed. The addy is in my links section...under netweek or shihad chat... |
