Atari ST Quick FAQ (GeoCities)
or
(France)
Nicholas Bales
- Frequently Asked Questions for newcomers to the Atari platform. Very
thorough coverage for new Atari users (or those that have forgotten
specific details). Nicholas does a very good job of laying out information
in a logical manner. Updated frequently, and with many inline links to
other resources.

Daron Brewood's WWW Pages
Daron Brewood
- NeST, Links, Information on OASIS2, and Psion Macros.
-
ELYSIUM
Ashley Seabrook
- Excellent list of links, well categorized with brief descriptions of
sites. An Information section that sounds promising, but is currently
taking a back seat to the Links section. It contains some snippets of
gossip, will contain software reviews, and has a list of all TOS
computers (Atari & clones). Also included are some ideas on how you
can help support the platform. A top Atari resource.
-
Emulators Online
- "The Internet's home for Atari ST, 8-bit and Apple Macintosh emulation for
Windows." Available: Gemulator (Atari ST and Macintosh emulation) and Xformer
(Atari 8-bit emulation) - and lots of other goodies. Ref: Branch Always Software.
-
Hallvard's Atari ST Global Access Page
Hallvard Tangerass
- Lot's of Atari links, neatly categorized by subject. Downloadable

you're missing a prime Atari resource. 1997 Atari Times award winner.

- This site provides useful setup and optimization info for STiNG. So whether
you're having difficulties using STiNG with your ISP, or have discovered
settings that you'd like to share with the rest of the Atari community, stop by
John's site.

STOSSER's Software
Tony Greenwood
- Games, Diskmags, STOS FAQs The Game Creator for PC's, and more. I would
recommend it highly, but who cares what I think? :) - Check it out and see for
yourself. 1997 Atari Times award winner.

The Ultimate T.O.S Software Index
Jo Vandeweghe
- Excellent index of TOS software available for download. Recently toned down
and now much more useful for users with lower-end systems

Thomas Homepage
or, visit the Monochrome version
Thomas Sahlin
- Very physically attractive site. Colorful and fast loading. Contains a Gossip
section to cover some of what's going on in the Atari world. There is also nice
selection of Game Cheats. Both of these areas allow you to add your own input.
In addition, you can download Thomas' software: HTML2TXT, STEqualizer,
and The Poker Machine. These programs are freeware, but Thomas
provides an online registration form (including a CAB-Friendly version) so that
you can give him some feedback.
Atari Magazines and Related Subjects
-
A3 - The Atari Article Archive
Frank Charleton
- This is not a magazine. It is an attempt by Frank, and other regulars from
ST Format magazine to provide an electronic home to Atari related articles
originally published in ST Format, and other magazines around the world. It's
a worthwhile effort - A nice site with some valuable information.
Unfortunately, I am not certain what the current status is. It does not appear
to have been updated recently.
-
Antic - The Atari Resource
Kevin Savetz
- The Digital Antic Project. Not a magazine, per se, this is Kevin's attempt
(with Antic's publishers permission) to create an archive of all the Antic and
STart issues. Issue count is currently 10, and that equates to a large
selection of articles (for 8-bitters). Also of interest are the Antic and STart
software archives. The advertisments gallery is interesting (I still remember my
S.A.M. fondly (Unfortunately, I also remember the first thing I taught it to say
was: "Want some candy little girl?" - Sheesh)). This site will not only provide
you with useful information, but transport you back to when computers were for
hobbyists.
-
Atari Times (UK) - Info & link being generated.
-
Atari Times (US) - Info & link being generated.
-
ST plus
Dave Hollis
- ST+ Magazine. A free diskzine for Atari Enthusiasts. Last issue was the
2nd anniversary issue (#24), in January of 1998 (See ST+ Fanzine), however, back
issues will remain available at this site.
-
ST+ Fanzine
Tony Greenwood
- ST+ Diskzine ended in January '98, in it's place is the paper-based ST+
Fanzine. Visit this official site for information on submissions, distribution,
prices, advertising and ghastly photographs of the perpetrators, and more.

Atari Prototypes & Vaporwares Site
|C|
Curt Vendel
- This is a fascinating site. Curt has modified his pages into an
hierarchal structure to make them easier to navigate, so you might want to
consider re-visiting his site. You'll find technical specifications and obscure
details on machines that you are familiar with, and those that were just a
passing glimmer of hope for both Atari Incorporated, and Atari Corp. You'll
also find a thorough history of Atari, an Atari/Amiga agreement, and much more.
-
The Atari Library
Unknown
- This is another site where you can find photographs and technical
specifications on Atari Computers and peripherals. It covers the 8-bit, 16+
bit, game systems, arcade systems (I really enjoyed the retrospectives in this
section), and miscellaneous products (Atari's calculators). Pages are kept
small and load quickly. The author makes repeated requests for you to email
him photographs or details, but nowhere do I see an email address.
-
The Machine Room: Index of Micros
Resources: Links To Links
(ELYSIUM) Atari & TOS Compatible Links to Resources.
Ashley Seabrook
- An authoratative list of Atari links. Well categorized. Descriptions
are given of sites (Ashley can explain in two sentences what I ramble
on about forever). Two small problems are that it's a little graphics
intensive, so it's harder for lower-end systems to load than, for
example, Hallvard's site - and there was a bit of a lapse in updates
for a while but he's back at work. Highly recommended.
-
Hallvard's Atari ST Global Access Page
Hallvard Tangerass
- Very comprehensive list of Atari links, neatly categorized by subject.
If it's out there, Hallvard probably has it. This is a no-nonsense site,
very Atari friendly, and suitable for slower modems and medium resolution
users. A prime Atari resource.
User Groups
-
ABUG / Atari Boise User Group
Ron Whittam
- ABUG is a User Group out of Boise, Idaho, USA. The ABUG site
provides information on membership and meetings. You'll find some articles of
interest that were originally published in Atari Explorer Online Magazine. It
has an Atari internet resource area that contains links to most of the useful
internet software. While I didn't follow any of the links, I think it's out of
date (I'm almost certain that they have Mille's old URL). They've also got some
interesting links in the Atari Resources section - however, I have a feeling
that quite a few of them are also out of date. Ron doesn't give any indication when
the pages were last updated.
-
H.A.C.E. / Houstons Alternative Computer Experts
- A Houston, Texas, USA area users group. The page pretty much just
describes the group and gives their address and meeting information. A few
links are available.
Supports Portfolio/8-bit/ST/TT/Falcon/Game Machines/Emulators.
This list is just a straight dump from one area of my hotlist. It
will be put in order soon. There are some useful links here, if you
wade through it. Note that some of these are from jumping from
site-to-site & bookmarking. I have not thoroughly explored all of
them yet. If there are any links to pirate pages, I apologize, and
I'll remove them as soon as I'm aware.
