Kim Fulton-Bennett Wooden flute, pennywhistle Kim Fulton-Bennett studied classical clarinet and bassoon as a child, but switched to flute in an act of adolescent rebellion. Since that time, he has played music of many genres, including classical, folk, rock, blues, and jazz. He started playing Celtic music in 1993, after his folk-rock band was deluged by requests for "Danny Boy" and "Riverdance." He has been developing his technique on wooden flute and pennywhistle ever since, focusing on the melodic, playful, and haunting aspects of the music. He has also composed a number of original tunes in the Celtic vein. |
