When all twelve of them awoke the next morning, nerves were high about the upcoming challenge. The new red buffs, just hours ago bright and new, were already beginning to get dirty. When Andi brought news of the immunity challenge, in the form of a drawn maze, people groaned, knowing inevitably what it would be. Steve stood before a large bamboo wall, with an opening in the middle. "Hello Survivors, as you know, Tribal council is right past the maze, so immediately after the challenge we will have that ceremony," Steve explained. "Your time will be added with your partner's time. The team with the longest time, will be the only ones both not to vote, and not to be immune." Steve finished with the simple rules. "First up, Adam." Adam bolted into the maze, hearing encouragement from the people outside. He made the right moves, and finished in 110 seconds. "Next up, Andi." Andi went in as well, and didn't take long. However, longer than Adam. She took 230 seconds. Chad was next and made it in 220 seconds. David finished in 80 seconds, and Lisa finished in 150 seconds. Travis also finished in 80 seconds. Marie went next, spending 90 seconds in the maze. Jacob went after her, and took 80 seconds. Nichole spent 270 seconds in the maze, and the length of time made Travis extremely nervous. Josie took 210 seconds, followed by Luke who took 240 seconds. Andrew, finally took 330 seconds, longer than anyone else. After everyone was through the maze, people were speculating who won, and who lost. After a few minutes, they made their way to tribal council and sat, waiting for the losers to be announced. "I will announce the lowest time, and go up. Everyone ready?" Steve asked. A few nods initiated the results. "The first team immune... David and Marie. The second team immune... Jacob and Adam. The third team immune... Nichole and Travis. The fourth team immune... Josie and Lisa. The fifth and last team immune... Chad and Luke. Meaning, ANDI and ANDREW are the only two members who can be voted for tonight." Some people's faces flushed, especially Andrew and Andi who both feeled as if a rug was pulled out from under them. |

For the first time, each tribe member was questioned before the voting, to get a sense of what they were thinking. Nichole went first. "I think Andi should be safe, because as a consensus everyone on Peuco would vote for Andrew first. As for the other team, the only person I'm bonding with is Marie. She's the only one making an attempt, besides Travis, who is pretty odd. Finally, Andi is a nice girl and Andrew is very annoying, constantly worrying about being voted out, so I hope things go the right way tonight." She then voted, writing Andrew down quickly. Marie went next. "Things on the Auca Pan side of this tribe aren't as tribe-versus-tribe as they are on Peuco. Chad told David or Adam something about me, and I'm waiting for proof, but I believe him, and I know Chad doesn't like me so it's definitely probably true. As for who I want to go for tonight? That's pretty easy...the bigger threat." She voted, and returned to the rest. Dave came to the voting confessional and wrote AND down, and then looked at the camera. "The twist was very interesting. I know a lot about the other members of Auca Pan, and I am thrilled to be with Marie. Since aPeuco is going tonight, I think that will change the tone of the game, a lot, hopefully for the better. It is in my interest to keep Peuco together and remove Auca. No offense to them, but this is a game of numbers. As for who I want to go tonight..."He looked down at his vote and finished it. Next up at the voting confessional was Lisa. "I really enjoy being on the merged tribe and getting to know the people. I want to take this game one day at a time, so with that said, I want to be with the people I get along with. Meaning tonight, I'm voting for the person I like more. Simple as that." She wrote...A...N...D... Next up was Chad. "This twist has been amazing. I have had two offers to join their tribe in the last few days, but I'm not sure if that will work. It may have to continue to be tribe versus tribe. I don't think a Peuco will go next time, so it doesn't really matter that one is going tonight. They still have the advantage. As for my vote tonight, I'm voting who Peuco dislikes more. They dislike Andrew, and Andrew annoys them, so I'm going to make them suffer, and keep him around." He wrote down ANDI in block letters. Next up was Travis. "I have little to say tonight, except that my vote is for someone that we had talked about voting for earlier." He voted and returned to his seat. Jacob was up next. "The merge has been fun, and I'm really glad about my performance in the challenge tonight. Hopefully Auca Pan can continue to climb back out from the hole we dug for ourselves. I don't care much about who goes tonight, but we did talk about it, so that's what I'm doing." He voted, and returned to his seat. Luke went next. "Since I was immune at this tc, I'm not sure what would have happened if I had been in the last team, but I very well could have been vulnerable, the host could have thrown a twist on us. So, it is a breather to be safe. As for voting tonight, I, as always, am voting strategically. Who am I more loyal to? The question has been raised, but I am going to keep my promise to those who come first." He voted, and returned to his seat. Last up voting was Adam. "This should come as little surprise. The twist was interesting, and it opened up a lot of new venues for me. But for my vote tonight, I am aligned to one person, and not another." ANDREW, is the word he wrote. Andrew went to the voting confession just to talk. "The merge has been horrible for me. No one has bonded, the partners in no way helped us get closer. The game will continue to be tribe versus tribe, that won't stop. Also, I am probably going to be leaving tonight, and it's very, very annoying to know that my performance in a challenge is why I'm going. Lisa should be going if any Peuco tonight, but she isn't." Andrew returned and Andi went up. "You know, merging has been nice, even though I could be leaving tonight. The partner thing was a hindrance to me, but I think my tribe likes me enough to keep me in. I really think someone could jump to the other side after this vote, so if I am here, I need to watch for that. Even though this twist put me on the "block", I really liked it. I don't want to be with Andrew about to go, because I'm really enjoying the game, but if it is me, then it is my time to go, and what happens, happens. If I survive this, I can survive anything, and I will continue with my alliance and get to the final four." After Andi was finished, Steve went to tally the votes, and returned after fifteen minutes, ready to reveal them. "Andi, Andrew, one of you will be leaving in a few minutes. You will get to give immunity to one of your fellow tribemates, since you haven't made the jury. Now, I will read the votes." First Vote ANDREW Second Vote ANDREW Third vote ANDI Fourth vote ANDREW Fifth Vote ANDREW Andrew's eyes shut and he hung his head low. He had four votes. Sixth Vote ANDI Andi nodded quietly. "It's four to two at the moment." Seventh Vote ANDI Eighth Vote ANDI Andrew was flabbergasted. He looked up to a tie vote. "We have a tie, but we have two votes left. I will reveal the rest." Ninth Vote AND... ANDI "That's five votes Andi, four votes Andrew." With the prospect of a tie, everyone held their breath as the last vote was revealed. AND...I. Steve nodded solemnly. "Andi, it's time to go. Could you please bring me your torch?" Andi got up, putting her hand on the wooded torch, obvious disappointment on her face. She patted Andrew on the shoulder as she walked towards Steve. "Oh," she said quickly. "I choose to give Andrew immunity. He was next to me, and I think he deserves it." She smiled at him, and Andrew, still in shock over surviving, and now being in the final ten, tried to smile back. "Andi, the tribe has spoken." With that, Andi's torch was snuffed, and the condensation dripped out of the snuffer. She walked away proud, albeit disappointed. Votes: Lisa: Andi Dave: Andrew Nichole: Andrew Adam: Andrew Luke: Andrew Marie: Andi Travis: Andi Jacob: Andi Chad: Andi Andi gave Andrew immunity. |
