People went back to camp, many of them, straight to bed.
"With Nichole immune," Chad whispered to Josie, "We go with Andrew.  Definately."
Chad, walked fifteen feet away, and asked Luke the vote tonight.
"It's Marie," Luke said.

Chad nodded, and walked down to the lake, laughing to himself.

He found Andrew, sitting on the beach.

"Hi Andy," Chad said chipperly.
Andrew winced, not liking the nickname.
"Hi Cha...d," Andrew responded.
"Anyway," Andrew began, "What is the plan?"
"The six of us are voting together, but about your vote clearer,"
Chad said, "Why use it now?  You should save that, until you actually need it. You may pick up a few votes tonight, and then you'll be right back where you were!"
"You have a point," Andrew said.  "Since I'm safe and all..."
"But you know, I don't trust Lisa that much, really," Andrew said.  "I'd rather be safe, than sorry."
"Your loss, but you have my vote, you know that," Chad said.
"Yeah," Andrew said, getting up and going back to camp.

"How stupid does he think I am Luke?" Andrew said, angry.
"He doesn't think you are stupid Andrew," Luke said, getting annoyed.
"He doesn't want me to use it so he can vote me out!"
"Well, maybe, but you are using it, so what is the problem?" Luke asked.
"What is the problem?!" Andrew asked angrily.

"Hey...guys," Chad said, walking around from behind the shelter.
Andrew's jaw dropped, embarrassed.

"I can't believe some of the things you guys are saying about me.
How much information do I have to give you guys, before you trust me?" Chad said.
"I'm hurt."

"Yeah...well, I'm sorry, you have to understand i'm a paranoid person," Andrew said.
"It still hurts me.  I was glad, Nichole, when you won immunity away from Marie.  I was glad, Andrew when you won your vote clearer. I was looking AFTER you when I suggested that.  Jeez," Chad said.
"I'm sorry..." Andrew said.
"Well, it's ok...I'm still voting with you guys, but come on, trust me some?" Chad said, a hint of irritation.
Chad walked off, to tell the former Auca Pan what was going on.

"I still don't think we can trust that guy," Andrew said.

"Well," Travis began in confession, "I'm shocked at how long Nichole lasted in the immunity.  I wonder, about that girl.  I don't think my head is on the chopping block tonight, because others are perceived as bigger threats.  Do I think it will be a tie tonight?
Hell ...maybe.  I think Chad with this going back and forth thing, may think of himself first.  However, if tonight goes as planned, we will be able to pick Peuco off...and after that, we'll see what happens.  But, tonight, yes, let's focus on tonight."

The tribe made their way up to tribal council, later that night, to the familiar setting, and the nerves that came with being there.

"Well," Steve began, "This may be a long tribal council, so let's get to business.  Anyone want to use any rewards?"

"I'll use mine," Andrew said.
"Me too," Marie said.

"Ok...let's vote," Steve said.

Andrew went first, writing down a name, and returning.
The rest of the tribe went, one by one.
"A is for Andrew, A is for Scarlett letter," Travis mentioned.
"She's a threat..." Nichole mentioned.  "I like her though."

After all ten votes were cast, Steve went to get the voting urn.

"I'll read the votes..."

ANDREW....

MARIE...

ANDREW...

MARIE...

ANDREW...

MARIE....

ANDREW...

ANDREW...

MARIE.

And final vote...

MARIE.

Both tribes signed, in relief, possibly, but more likelyhood, in nerves.

Well....As we all know, both of them have zero past votes, due to their vote clearer.

How is this tie broken...?

The death number.  A random number has been picked for the death number, 1-10.  You must both pick five numbers, and the person with the death number will be voted out.

Marie, please pick first.

Marie chose 1, 2, 5, 8, 10.
Andrew chose 3, 4, 6, 7, 9.

First safe number...10.
Second safe number...1.
Third safe number...9.
Fourth safe number....2.
Andrew gulped, having four numbers left, to Marie's two.

Let's go in order...as we have been.  8. 8 is... The Death Number.  Marie, you have to bring me your torch.

Marie cringed, and got up, bringing Steve her torch.  She waved to her tribe, and walked out of the tribal council arena.

VOTES:
Andrew: Marie
Marie: Andrew
Josie: Andrew
Chad: Andrew
Travis: Andrew
Jacob: Andrew
Luke: Marie
Lisa: Marie
Adam: Marie
Nichole: Marie

Death number: 8
Back at camp, Andrew celebrated by flinging himself into the cold water, beginning to shiver, and making his way annoyingly back to the camp fire to dry off.
"Will this challenge change anything?" Luke asked to the camera.  "No."

The night proceeded quietly, Andrew having problems keeping his happiness in check.  He felt safe, as if he was no immune.  Immunity, however, was no ones, yet.

Much to the surprise of all, Steve walked into camp, right at night.

"Hello everyone," he said, with malice in his voice.

Murmers of hi came from the tribe, most of them still angry about the joke earlier in the day.

"I figured...with the last spot before the jury on the line...immuntiy may be important.  I also thought...all of you may push yourself to win.  So, we may need quite some time to decide it.  Follow me," he said.

The tribe followed Steve, most dropping what they were doing.  About a mile away, the tribe exited the forest seeing ten blocks of large ice, sitting around the field.  Some didn't know quite what was going on, others cringed, and grabbed their hands.

"Survivor has a history of making you keep your hands on things to win immunity.  Why not make it more difficult?  On my call, you will place a hand on the block of ice, and keep it there.  Removing your hand, CHANGING hands, or even slipping off, will result in your removal.  Let's start."

Some people were more eager than others.
"I'm not doing it," Lisa said.  She shook her head, not understanding how she could do what they were asking of her.
Some people followed Lisa's path.  Luke, Adam, Jacob, Travis, and
Chad all refused to participate.  Immunity, however, was more important for Andrew, Marie, Josie, and Nichole.  The four of them put their hand on the block of ice, wincing in pain for the first ten minutes.

"You know, this isn't that bad, after you can't feel your hand anymore," Nichole said.
The night went on, until the first casualty was claimed.  The dark was lit up by large lits, so people could make sure their hand was on the ice.  Three and a half hours after the fact, however,
Andrew's hand slipped, having melted a mold of his hand, and not being able to feel whether or not his hand was on the ice.  Andrew sat with the other six, depressed.  He did however, still have his vote clearer.

Hours rolled by, and many of the six slept.  Luke, Travis, and Jacob snored.  Andrew continued to watch the challenge, looking around hesitantly.
8 hours after the competition began, Josie took her hand off.
"I can't do this anymore," she said, wrapping her buff around her hand and going over to rest with the others.
Marie looked over to Nichole, who was staring ahead.

"Nichole...how long will you last...?" Marie asked.
"I'll stay out here for 28 hours," Nichole said.  (In fact, the competition allowed for the participants to stay on as long as they thought would win immunity.  Nichole held the button for 28 hours, 42 minutes)
Ten minutes later, Marie gave up.

"Congratulations Nichole, you have won immunity," Steve said, giving her the idol.
"Enjoy your ....morning," Steve said, looking towards the sun, rising over the mountains.
