Friends of Great Salt Lake
"COME CLOSER AND KNOW ME BETTER." To spend a little time with anything of real value is to come to know it. To
know anything of real value is to come to love it. To love anything of real value is to come to stand up for it. Many of us are finding real value in the
Great Salt Lake in a variety of ways. Taking the Lake on its own terms, and loving it for its own sake, is only the beginning, however.
Unfortunately, the Lake is constantly under seige by "users" and "takers" whos understanding is incomplete. Those of us who have come to know
and love the Great Salt Lake feel responsible for fostering an ever-expanding invitation to others to spend a little time with it, get to
know it, fall in love with it, and stand for it, too. It's a big job. But fortunately for us, there is power and strength in numbers -- the E Pluribus Unum
Effect I call it. That's where the many become one and the small become large. Friends of the Great Salt Lake (FOGSL) has come
to be a vital organ in this our body politic. It is an organization with a big voice and a significant influence. They need you. It is our hope, that with
