my life so far |
university My student days are shrouded in mystery. Even I don’t remember much about them. All I can tell you for certain is that I woke up late one morning back in ’92 with a splitting headache, a bottle in one hand and a certificate for a Masters degree in the other. As this was before the days when you could purchase the qualification of your choice online, I can only assume that my degree was legitimately earned. To this day, though, I can remember nothing about my apparent major – astrophysics. Even now, I continue to pretend I studied politics, focusing on International Political Economy, development issues, and electoral systems. This photograph of me (far left) with my friends Dan "the Man" Aldersley (right) and David "Robbo Jobbo" Jobson (centre) dates back to those "missing years", and suggests some sort of "hair crisis" that may have affected me at the time. I also know for a fact that I played football for the university (usually quite badly, although I did win the club's Golden Boot award a couple of times). After finishing my tertiary studies, it was time to venture out into the world and seek my fortune... (read on) |
