Perspective

"If you borrow someone's pickup truck, bring it back to them washed and full of gas."

I try my best to leave things a little better than I find them. My friends say that Life's Little Instruction Book describes me pretty well, so most of my Web pages have different quotes scrolling across the bottom pane of your browser. Great book -- grab a copy at your local bookstore. (If your browser doesn't support Java, click here to see some quotes).

Another accurate description of me might be "that car guy." Speed Racer was an early influence.

(If you would like to see a listing of my wheeled history, check the menu above or click here.)

Yes, the cartooning and plot lines were flawed. Still, Speed was always modest, and he took care of business behind the wheel.

Picture of me at the coast The picture to the left was taken just down road from where I lived, on Hwy 1. The Pacific Coast was great for stretching out in the old hammock and reading a book after work.

Still, I was born and raised in Texas, and was just a guest in California. I returned to Texas (where normal people actually buy their homes), and would like to consider Austin, Denver, or Portland to settle down. With some additional high tech marketing experience and a Ph.D., I would like to teach college courses.
