Braveheart Breathtaking photography, relative historical accuracy. Emotional registers hit pretty hard. Great plot line with multiple levels and meanings. My favorite movie.

Sun Tzu's Art of War strategies used in depiction of battle (use enemy's strength against them, baiting, orchestrated chaos....)

The Green Mile Another movie that stirs the emotions. Kindness can overcome nearly anything.

American Beauty Kevin Spacey's amazing character development. Intricate details on on suburban life that add up to a very complex picture.

The Kid Wonderful storyline and messages. Did a great job of showing that life seldom measures up to our dreams, but you can define the reality you live in by the way you choose to see yourself and your fit within your world. Don't like your life? Listen to the Kid in you and take your first step to attain your dreams right now.

White Palace Susan Sarandon and James Spader are just plain fun.
The Hunt for Red October Scott Glenn's character, Sean Connery's presence, Alec Baldwin's composure.

Sub-chase scenes, great sound effects in a THX theatre.

Storyline underscored with the importance of understanding people.

Grand Canyon Movie makes you think about perspective.

Details in the movie, each one, is put there on purpose to make you think.

Jacob's Ladder A movie filled with multiple levels and understandings.

Each character plays an important role, thick with meaning.

Forrest Gump The genius of simplicity.

Concept of knowing what you want and being able to walk away from it.

The Highlander Chris Lambert, SeanConnery in a cult classic. "There can be only one."
The Fugitive Tommy Lee Jones and Harrison Ford at their best, great suspense.
Blazing Saddles Anti - PC movie, takes no prisoners with any issue. Part of being a guy is being able to rehearse lines from this movie.

Cult classics to watch amongst friends. Break out the chili, grill fajitas, or graze on popcorn and nachos.
The Gumball Rally Coast to coast race in neat cars (427 AC Cobra, Ferrari Daytona, 911, Camaro, etc.) with authentic engine sounds for each car.

Raul Julia as the Italian "ringer" Daytona driver is hilarious.

Before Sunrise Make every minute count, even when life's not at its best....
Unforgiven No black & white or pure good/bad guys. Every character is a shade of grey.
Pale Rider Clint Eastwood plays a peaceful minister helping out a homestead. Notice the bullet hole scars on his back at every vital organ.

Stargate Spader as the geek who's comfortable with being a geek.
Doc Hollywood "We're not using hooks this time, Doc." Hilarious.
Patriot Games

Clear and Present Danger

Harrison Ford as the everyday agent and family man.

Great action sequences and suspense.

Pulp Fiction Foot rubs and the holiest of holies. Too many quotes in this one; sure to be a cult classic.
