Our Vision

St. Mary’s Catholic Elementary School Community,
by word and deed, strives to assist all those in its care
to open their minds to grasp the wonder of God’s truth in
the gifts of creation,
to open their hearts to accept the mystery of God’s love in their
treatment of themselves and each other

to use their hands generously in responsible and caring service
to their local community and in solidarity with the needs of the world.

To achieve this end,
St. Mary’s Catholic Elementary School strives to maintain
a safe, happy and nurturing environment
in which children and adults may develop their full potential:
spiritually, academically, emotionally, physically and socially.

Our Community

St. Mary's School is a mid-sized Catholic Elementary School in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada.

The school is located in a residential neighbourhood next to St. Mary's Catholic Church close to the downtown core.

Our total school enrolment is 245 students in Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8.

About 2/3 of our students are bussed to school each day and arrive at the school building about 8:40 a.m.

English is our language of instruction. Participation in French classes is required for all grade one to eight students, except those who are identified as exceptional and who have been specifically exempted.

Special education services are offered in an integrated setting but may be supplemented with a limited withdrawal from regular classes.

All students participate in our religious education and family life programs.

All students are expected to attend school liturgies at St. Mary's Church and to participate in school prayer celebrations.
