One night, while I was extremely, extremely bored, I started typing in www._____.com, just to see if there was such a website. After typing in the obligatory dirty stuff dot com's (and there really is a dirtystuff.com, along with naughtybits.com and knightswhosayni.com), my mind turned to Biker Mice. Would you believe that almost all of the main characters names' are already registered? Check it out!

The Biker Mice

throttle.com

Part of the Dictionaryof.com collective of pages, Throttle.com is a page in the works that "will be a site for those who crave speed. Racing fans of all types, hold onto your hats! We will begin offering free email services @Throttle.Com in the near future." Pretty cool vanity address for Biker Mice fans, eh? Dictionaryof's already got a few other good ones up and running, including @ Pierced.com, @ Snoop.com, @ Billybob.com, and @ ePimp.com. Also games and other fun stuff.

throttle.net

This is one of those places that helps businesses get on the net, and revamps those that are already there. They specialize in high-bandwith connections and similar services.

modo.com

The homepage of Modo Eyewear company--fairly ironic considering that our gray-furred galloot sports an eyepatch. Features on online catalog of the company's stylish frames, including normal glasses, sunglasses, and clip-ons, a list of celebrities spotted in movies wearing Modo eyewear, and a page that helps you select the right set of frames for your face. Not the most entertaining site, but for those of us with less than perfect vision (like your blind-as-a-bat webmaster), this could be a good page to visit before you visit the optometrist for a new pair. Even if you can't find Modo Eyewear (or afford it; methinks these are expensive specs), you might find a style you could look for so you don't spend five weeks trying to find the right set of frames for your next perscription. One of my optometrists died recently, so I could certainly use someone to advise me in this crucial area.

vinnie.com

The homepage of Vinnie Coppola, "the Hitman of Comedy." I'm not sure I've ever seen this guy, but apparently he's been in comedy for a good while, and has even been on Comedy Central. Seems like a funny enough guy from his bio. His page also lists tour dates and has a photo gallery.

The Bad Guys

greasepit.com

A website that fits pretty smoothly with the character whose name it shares, Greasepit.com is the homepage of a chain of Indiana quick-lube stations. A pretty bare-bones webpage, it does offer coupons and a list of locations.

stilton.com

Stilton Associates is not a stinky fish with an aversion to germs, but rather, a San Francisco-based web design company. Based on their page, they're very good with colors.

camembert.com

Not surprisingly, this is a page that will be, upon its construction, dedicated to the French cheese after which the Plutarkian High Chairman is named. The page itself is in French, so all you guys who took Spanish in high school are shit out of luck.

brie.com

I have no idea what's up with this page, so I think it fits with the power-mad little Napoleon.

Freedom Fighters

carbine.com

Homepage of the Magnadyne Corporation, which sounds like one of those mega-companies that's always trying to take over the world. Doens't it? Like a James Bond thing? Anyway, they make automotive electronics, including alarms, sound systems, and even some stuff for boats. But I still bet they're just one insidious scheme away from total global domination.

stoker.com

Homepage of the Stoker Group, a clan of software developers. Now, I got no problem with the name--there's the obvious reason, and then there's the whole "stoking = increasing power" thing, which works for software. But the old-fashioned train engine on the main page is not exactly making me think of high-powered software, ya dig?

rimfire.com

"Motorsports Graphics." Not exactly sure what that means, but I guess they'll be designing decals for your dirtbike. My question is this: did they name their group after Modo's skunk-striped nephew, or after the bullet? Just wondering...

scabbard.com

Hey, a domain name that makes sense--a business that sells archery scabbards!

Other Mouse-Related Domain Names

bikermice.com

An actual Biker Mice page! The home of the Unofficial Biker Mice from Mars Fan Club, the first "Biker Mice" page many people find on the web.

mars.com

Not the planet, but even better--the guys who make M&M's!

chicago.com

Not the city's homepage, but rather, a guy named Karl Swartz's homepage. It has links to the city's stuff. I just don't get why a person would want the domain name Chicago.com. Nobody's going to go there looking for your stuff!
