Episode 2 - The Angel's First Kiss
Aya's still staring at her family in disbelief of what she was just told, like any spooky happening, it's raining out for that oh-so-spooky effect. Aya's still holding the bloody and injured Aki as Grandpa walks over. He explains that she is a curse for the Mikage family, and so she has to die [not a good explanation huh?]. Aya starts to think this is too weird to be real, so she jokes around saying that this was a prank for her birthday, and Aki was just covered in paint [but then... how did the paint suddenly appear?! XD]. But she quickly drops that when grandpa demands that she not touch Aki.
The family all gets up from around the table, and the women leave while the men all stay behind and surround her. Aya's father is presented a gun, and grandpa says to him it was his duty, so he shakily takes it out, and points it right at Aya. He obviously doesn't wanna kill her, no father would, and he tells her to forgive him because he can't do anything for her. He then adds that she doesn't let the Mikage control her, to save Aki and and to fight her fate and be normal. He wants her to be happy, because regardless of what they want to do, she was his daughter. And from that, he turns and points the gun at grandpa.
But the moment he does, one of the other men shove a gun against the side of his head. Her father says that she was his child, and grandpa simply says "Shoot him." And that they do, right in the head, and in front of Aya. And now the grandpa adds that the gun he was given to kill Aya with was loaded with just blanks, and that he always could read him like a book. Now Aya is in real shock, and to add on to that, all of the men around her points guns toward her. Her heart starts to race, and suddenly, her eyes change color again, and there's an explosion.
Somewhere else, we see Suzumi Aogiri gasp, and call for her brother-in-law, Yuuhi. But their maid, Q-san says that he's cooking dinner. And that's just where our chopstick-weilding bishounen is, jamming to some music on his CD player and cooking. Suzumi comes behind him and starts talking, but Yuuhi, who has on the headphones, can't hear a word she's saying. He takes them off a little too late when she chucks a fan at him, but he catches 'em with his chopsticks. Suzumi then asks him to pick up a certain girl, Yuuhi thinks she means one of her dance students, but she says that she felt sensed someone similar to her.
At Mikage Corp, Kagami is watching the tape of when Aya blew up the grandpa's house, but the tape was short, so all they get to see is the outline of Aya, and her glowing yellow eyes. Kagami orders to get a car ready, because from then, they couldn't get in touch with the main house. As Gladys leaves, Kagami says that this was better than he expected, that this was a tennyo.
Here we see the other lot of the Aogiri family, who talk about Suzumi, and that something really is going on with the Mikage. Yuuhi, Suzumi and Q-san are driving toward the house, and Q-san is driving like a maniac, partly because Suzumi asks her to hurry. Yuuhi had no idea their maid had a license, but then Q-san says that something was wrong with the car, she gets a reply that the car was automatic, and Q-san, claiming how much easier it was like that, goes full speed down the road while Yuuhi and Suzumi are getting thrown around in the back-seat.
At the destroyed grandpa's house, the old man's in shock that Aya did all of this, and orders to find her immediately. Now we see a kawaii flashback of young Aki and Aya. Aki is beaconing for Aya to get down from the old tree she was climbing before she got hurt or in trouble if the adults saw her [the same one she pointed out when they first got there]. But little Aya says she'll be fine, before her fathers voice booms out and she looses her grasp and falls, but luckily he catches her. Grandpa comes over and comments that Aya's such a lil' tomboy, then explains how that tree has been there since the Mikage started and they shouldn't climb or damage it.
Now Aya sits in the tree, tired and torn, hands covered in blood, very confused about what just happened, when she hears a voice calling her. "Hey, giant cat in the tree." XD And when she looks down, hey it's that redheaded savior from before! He asks why the Mikage are trying to kill her, this seems to jolt Aya into what just happened, her father being killed, being surrounded and almost killed herself, so she starts to cry, totally forgetting about ol' Tooya. But when she looks behind her, seems he's now up in the tree right next to her, she screams and pushes him, but they're on a small tree, so she winds up falling. And our slick Tooya and his quick reflexes quickly grab her hand and pull her back up.
So there they lay in the tree, Aya crying still, saying that everything that's happening is to weird, and is about to scream bloody murder about everything happening in the past hour. But!! Dun dun dun, Tooya silences her with a kiss. She tries to pull away, but he just keeps on doin' it. But then we find out for the time being he's not being hormonal and he was just shutting her up because the men sent to find her were near them. Aya's moonstruck, and Tooya apologizes for it, insert flashback of when he saved Aya from the speeding car, her savior! But then we get a small lesson about what Tooya's name means, Ten Nights. Aya's not even paying attention, and freaks out because that was her first kiss? Looks like the men found her, because a nice bullet shoots into the tree just inches from Aya's head.
The men have her, or do they? Yuuhi comes and saves the day with his chopsticks of doom [God Yuuhi is so cool]. He tells Aya he's there to save her and to jump and he'll catch her. Aya is hesitant but a good push from Tooya [literally] helps her fall off the tree. And as she falls, she floats slightly again, and lightly lands on Yuuhi's arms. But since she just floated, Yuuhi doesn't feel that until a second later, and falls to his knees. Then he grabs her and hightails it away from there, Aya looking back to Tooya, watching them leave from the tree. They get chased by more men, but luckily get out, leap into the car and they speed off. Suzumi and Yuuhi introduce themselves, and she explains they're on her side, regardless of what she might think after all that just happened.
Kagami bitch-slaps one of his employees, very angry that they let Aya escape. And that's really all for that scene. Suzumi and Q-san are outside of Aya's room, talking about what they're going to tell her tomorrow when she wakes up., then asks for her sewing box [yes that does have something to do with the story! ^^]. Aya is sleeping, and she dreams about her and Aki's birthday from when they were younger, they're sitting around the table with mom, dad and grandpa. And they're all having a fun time... INSERT RANDOM SCARY SCENE WHERE DAD GETS SHOT IN HEAD. [I think I actually screamed louder than Aya did when that popped up out of a nice pleasant scene] Aya springs up from her bed, all shaken up.
She thinks back to when she was surrounded by many men, and many guns. And she seems to remember what happened when her eyes changed color, they all shot at her, but some barrier was around her, then a wave of energy was released. Throwing all of them back, and messing up the entire house. And the grandpa, on the floor staring up at her like "Are you.. real?" Then the figure of Aya slowly starts to rise, and we all now know that's how she got into the tree. ^_^ Aya then starts to cry, overwhelmed once again by everything. The next morning, Aya, Suzumi and Yuuhi are all sitting around, and Suzumi says she finally found a Tennyo, and she can't let her be killed. Aya responses with "I'm.. a tennyo?"
