Solo - Steve Wall went solo again on Sunday December 16th when he played a half hour set at the sugar club

Top Songs - RTE in association with IMRO are compiling a list of the Top 75 Irish Songs, to celebrate 75 years of Irish radio. Click on top 75 irish songs - you can choose up to 50 songs but ensure the two Stunning classics Brewing Up A Storm (no. 16) and Half Past Two (no. 56) penned by the Wall brothers are on your list. Only a few days left - October 15th deadline.

Ads? - In between time spent gigging, rehearsing, writing new material etc. etc. The Walls have composed music for the new AIB television ad.

Bachelor's Walk - 8 part drama series Bachelor's Walk (Mondays, Network 2 , 9.30pm) received great reviews. One of the episodes featured several Walls tracks (Bone Deep, Some Kind of A Girl, February's Gone).

Top 75 Irish Songs - Voting closed on Monday (October 15th). Results will be posted when they are announced.

Recently released -  Universal film
on the edge was recently on general release in Ireland. The excellent soundtrack includes 3 songs ('Something's Wrong', 'Chestnut' and 'Bone Deep') from The Walls' superb debut  album 'hi-lo'

Confusion sorted - The Walls are confirmed to play the witnness 2001 festival at Fairyhouse on Saturday August 4th on the 'More' stage. Please note that they are scheduled incorrectly for Sunday 5th on the Witnness ad in the papers

Anniversary - The Walls appearance at the FM104 Big Day Out  coincided with the anniversary of the May 19th 2000 release of superb debut album Hi-Lo.  If it isn't in your CD collection buy it now or you are missing out...


St. Patricks Day in May!!!! The Walls played a storming set at the fm 104 big day out gig at College Green, Dublin on Saturday May 19th as part of the postponed St. Patrick's Day celebrations. Thanks FM104!

Radioplay - Bone Deep has received a lot of radioplay.  Ian Dempsey has been surprised by the 'incredible amount of requests' coming in for it.


Chernobyl Children's Project - Bone Deep (DJ Wool (Glen Brady) re-mix) has been included on a compilation album (Music Collaborations 2001) to raise money for the Chernobyl Children's Project.

Stunning News - Jimmy Higgins joined Derek Murray in The Saw Doctors. They were both former colleagues of Steve and Joe Wall in The Stunning.


2000

December 8th - Performed John Lennon song  'Tomorrow Never Knows' on  'Reabhloid' a TG4 programme commemmorating the anniversary of John Lennon's death.

December 5th -Petsounds  (Today FM - Tom Dunne) performed acoustic versions of 'Chestnut' and the Morrissey song 'Why Don't You Find Out for Yourself'

October 29th and November 2nd -TG4 programme Ri-Ra performed 'New Born Baby' and 'Some Kind of a Girl'

October - The Walls made a cameo appearance in 'Country' a prize-winning Irish feature film which was released nationwide in October. They played a 60s showband with original songs written by Steve Wall and performed by The Walls.

Rumour - Producer Mike Hedges (has worked with Manic Street Preachers, The Beautiful South, Texas, Travis and U2) may re-mix some tracks from Hi-Lo for possible single releases in the UK.
