| The black 'bou' would catch both largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, walleye, rock bass, and pike. |
| Soon we were catching more and bigger fish. We began concentrating on the deeper weed edges and fished more towards the bottom versus swimming the lures over the weeds. |

| Also during this time we discovered that there were smallmouth bass right under our noses just offshore from our boat docks. |
